Hotel Claridge, Madrid, Spain

The housekeeper of the hotel woke me up. I was so tired, that I slept until 11:00 A.M., when the housekeeper knocked our door to get in and clean the room. I wonder how long I could have slept if she did not interrupt me; I slept for almost 11 hours. The good thing about being waked up was that I could do more things. The bad thing, I still feel tired. I think I have adjusted to the time zone, but I am still tired.

Anyway, yesterday I ate “Bocadillos de Calamares” at breakfast near the Plaza Mayor, then I went to the Royal Palace, Cathedral, Neo-Roman Cripts, and Royal Opera Theater. I watched “Die tote Standt (The Death City)”, a German opera show that was very interesting, the story was, “Ahhh!”  But the music was fantastic, especially the voices and chorus! The most impressive thing was the set! Cool effects, and very versatile.

Finally, I went to eat at Fres Co, a cozy place in a nice plaza surrounded by beautiful buildings, it took me back to La Roma (in Mexico  City). The environment was very nice, it was 10:45 PM and everybody was outside, walking around the streets, a lot of lights, a lot of people in coffee shops, a lot of life outside (I miss the night life! I want to go back to live in Veracruz forever, or even in Mexico City).
